We are looking for a results-driven Product Developer / Colorist to manage the development lifecycle of private label active wear. This role partners closely with design, technical design, production, and external partners to deliver high-performance, trend-forward products. This role has a potential to be 4 days a week in office and 1 day remote.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized, has a good sense of color and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve all lab dips, strike offs, shade bands, and bulk submits and communicate with overseas factories and cross functional teams. Conduct Spectrophotometer and lightbox readings as needed.
- Communicate with external cross functional teams.
- Evaluate pre-production and production garments, collaborating closely with product and technical design teams to ensure accurate product and expectation were established.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tech packs and verifying information for internal and external partners.
- Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and development documents.
- Manage seasonal color library for use by the design team.
- Update comments and data in PLM systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in color / apparel product development (active wear experience strongly preferred)
- Experience reviewing and evaluating lab dips, strike-offs, and color submits against established standards. Knowledge working with Spectrophotometer and light box a plus
- Experience working with overseas factories
