Associate Sportswear Designer - Young Contemporary Tops - Knitwear and Wovens

Our client, a well-established Women’sYoung

Contemporary Brand is searching for both Assistant and Associate Designer’s for immediate hire. Must have a contemporary aesthetic designing woven’s, and knitwear. Develop and create a vision for new product line assortments by collaborating with the cross‑functional team. Strong CADa technical experience is a plus. Collaborate with the team with design concepts and building product assortments.

• Designand development for knitwear, and wovens tops, dresses, and bottoms
• Support the placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement
• Participate indesignstrategies and execution for sportswear including knits, and wovens
• Create detailed tech packs
• Involved in all product development and sales meetings projecting future fabrications
• Work with thedesignteam and management to develop time and action calendars for programs
• Prepare trend boards for management meetings
• Shop the local market for inspiration
• Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.
• Approve lab dips, new fabric developments, and the general flow of the process

• 2 plus years of experience in apparel design
• Knowledge and understanding of knit fabrics and wovens
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Proficiency in flat sketching in illustrator
• PLM system is a plus
• Problem‑solving abilities in meeting deadlines.
• Microsoft Office Programs
• BA Degree
