Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Menswear Designer to join our Design team. This role will be responsible for the design and development of seasonal men's apparel collections across multiple product categories, including outerwear, sportswear, knits, wovens, tops, bottoms, and coordinating separates. The Designer will research emerging trends, develop commercially relevant product, and manage the design process from initial concept through production.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative and technical design skills, a broad understanding of men's apparel, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to deliver cohesive collections that balance brand identity, trend, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research current and emerging menswear trends and forecast their evolution within the brand identity.
  • Conduct seasonal market research through runway, retail, street style, vintage, digital resources, and competitive shopping to inform design direction.
  • Design and develop seasonal men's apparel collections across categories including outerwear, jackets, knits, wovens, tops, bottoms, and coordinating separates.
  • Translate seasonal concepts into cohesive, commercially viable collections that balance silhouette, fabrication, color, print, trim, and merchandising objectives.
  • Create hand sketches, Illustrator flats, CAD presentations, and detailed design packages for internal and external use.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs from initial development through bulk production, including garment construction, artwork, trims, fabrics, and design details.
  • Research and source seasonal fabrics, trims, washes, treatments, and other materials to support collection development.
  • Communicate seasonal design concepts and development direction to overseas factories and request preliminary treatments, mock-ups, and prototype samples.
  • Review prototypes, attend garment fittings, and partner with Technical Design to evaluate fit, construction, proportion, and overall product execution.
  • Communicate design revisions to overseas factories through technical sketches, photographs, specifications, fit comments, and updated tech packs.
  • Submit and approve artwork, strike-offs, wash panels, lab dips, trims, and other development components.
  • Evaluate collections throughout the development process and revise, sketch, or refabricate styles as needed to support seasonal objectives, line plans, and SKU targets.
  • Create and maintain line sheets, seasonal development materials, sample request charts, and other design documentation.
  • Coordinate domestic and overseas sample development and ensure key development milestones are achieved according to seasonal calendars.
  • Enter and maintain product information within PLM systems, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting development data.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Production, Product Development, Technical Design, and Sales to ensure design integrity, commercial viability, and successful product execution.
  • Support seasonal market presentations, line reviews, and other collection presentations as needed.
  • Follow product through production to ensure accurate execution of design, color, fabrication, trims, and overall creative intent.
