Alfredo Paredes Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative firm dedicated to the curation of sophisticated environments across the residential, hospitality and retail sectors. Based in New York City, our studio operates as a highly creative and dynamic team. Our detailed-oriented approach to design spans the entire lifecycle, from bespoke furniture fabrication and vintage sourcing to material selections and technical architectural documentation and rigorous construction oversight.

Our mission is to create unique, immersive environments that resonate authenticity and refined craftsmanship.

Our firm is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our team. An ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, be flexible in multi-tasking, resourceful and have the ability to lead a team. The ideal candidate must be able to manage the creative process as well as logistics. The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for the documentation of the design process including design presentations (digital and physical boards), schedules (soft and hard materials), and abide by the project timelines and deliverables.

This position will require periodically to produce detail progress reports to senior management including Studio Designer reports for payments and schedules project status reports for percentage of completion visibility.

Experience:

7-10 years of professional working experience

Education:

Degree in Interior Design or related field

Responsibilities
  • Experience in antique and vintage furniture and object sourcing
  • Materials sourcing capabilities (soft / hard materials)
  • Coordination of decorative elements with architectural design (internal and external teams)
  • Responsible for decorative and finish specifications/schedules, including details, hardware and fixtures
  • Ability to develop furniture plans
  • Experience in FF&E custom design and development
  • Responsible for budget management, including creation, execution and update of such budgets
  • Ability to lead procurement and responsible for the process from design to completion and installation
  • Coordinate comprehensive management of installation scheduling and on-site coordination
  • Development of client presentations (digital and physical presentations)
  • Create agendas for internal and external meetings
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for internal and external presentations
Requirements
  • 0-7 years professional working experience
  • Degree in Interior Design or related field
  • Ability to work at a fast pace on multiple projects with a team environment

    Fluency in AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interest in classical design and refined detailing
  • 3D Modeling experience a plus
  • Hand sketching capabilities a plus
