As Merchandiser – Home Textiles & Design
, you will help develop trend-forward, commercially relevant collections across our home textile categories. You will combine a strong creative eye with an understanding of the retail market to identify trends, build assortments, develop product stories, and help bring new concepts to life for major retailers.

This is not a traditional retail planning, allocation, or inventory merchandising role. The position is highly focused on product, trend, color, print, pattern, materials, and assortment development. A background in textile design, surface design, product design, or a closely related creative field is strongly preferred.

• Develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, trend boards, mood boards, and cohesive product stories.
• Build and merchandise home textile assortments with a strong focus on color, pattern, fabrication, and overall collection cohesiveness.
• Identify opportunities for new products, materials, constructions, techniques, and category expansion.
• Partner closely with Design to translate trends, customer direction, and merchandising strategies into commercially viable products.
• Provide creative direction and product feedback throughout the design and development process.
• Analyze competitive products, retail trends, pricing, and market positioning to identify opportunities and inform assortment development.
• Partner with Sales to develop retailer-specific concepts and assortments based on customer needs and market opportunities.
• Participate in line reviews, product presentations, showroom preparation, and buyer meetings.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Sourcing to balance aesthetic direction with quality, cost, production capabilities, and timelines.

• Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Merchandising
  , or a related creative field.
• 5+ years of experience in home textiles, soft home, textile design, product development, or product-focused merchandising
  .
• Strong preference for candidates with a hands-on textile or design background.
• Strong understanding of color, print, pattern, fabrications, materials, constructions, and textile techniques
  .
• Demonstrated ability to develop cohesive product assortments and translate trends into commercially relevant products.
• Strong eye for trend, color, design, and product.
• Experience with trend forecasting, concept development, line building, and assortment development.
• Understanding of major retail markets, customer needs, competitive positioning, and price points.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator strongly preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating textile design, trend development, product development, or relevant creative work strongly preferred.
