Our Design team is responsible for establishing the trend, color, print, and style direction for our seasonal and customer-driven collections. The team develops compelling product concepts and apparel designs that are presented internally during trend and line reviews and externally during buyer meetings. Once orders are placed, Design continues to own the creative vision of the product, partnering closely with Product Development, Sales, Graphics, and our overseas teams throughout the sample development and production process.
We are looking for a Senior Associate Designer to join our Contemporary Sleepwear team, supporting either Danskin or Nicole Miller

The ideal candidate is creative, passionate about fashion, highly organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to balance strong design instincts with the technical and organizational skills needed to move product from concept through production. This role will work closely with senior Design leadership while taking meaningful ownership of assigned projects and supporting more junior members of the team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Research the market and emerging trends, collaborating with senior designers on seasonal color forecasting, print concepts, and product direction.
- Develop and present design ideas and concepts to the Senior Designer and Director.
- Participate in design meetings, trend presentations, proto reviews, line reviews, and other key milestone meetings.
- Attend fittings and provide design-related comments and direction.
- Prepare compelling presentations and visual materials for internal and external meetings.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Product Development, and Graphics, through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Create CADs and assist in selecting colors, prints, patterns, and other design elements for seasonal and customer presentations.
- Develop color palettes, flat sketches, and detailed product concepts.
- Review and approve print and graphic strike-offs to ensure alignment with the intended design direction.
- Oversee the completion of accurate technical development packages, including construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, graphics, and color specifications.
- Oversee accurate production packages, including color and trim specifications and production-ready print and graphic artwork.
- Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development, production, costing, and design execution.
- Proactively track projects and follow up with cross-functional and overseas partners to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Delegate and prioritize work for Associates, Assistants, and Interns based on business needs and project timelines.
- May manage a direct report, including providing ongoing feedback, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in fashion, apparel, or intimate apparel design; sleepwear experience is a plus.
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.
