Senior Interior Designer, Residential
Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors
Base pay range: $130,000 - $140,000 per year
Job OverviewQualities of an ideal applicant would include strong organizational skills, flexibility in multi-tasking, resourcefulness, self-motivation, curiosity, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work within a team, and great taste. The ideal candidate would be able to think and work at both the broadest and smallest scale of the design process, pivot between creative and logistical responsibilities, and lead projects at a fast pace.
Responsibilities- Expertise in antique and vintage furniture and object sourcing.
- Proficiency in material sourcing, including research and development for varied project requirements.
- Strong collaborative skills for coordinating decorative elements with architectural design.
- Comprehensive documentation of decorative and finish specifications/schedules, including material details, hardware, and fixtures.
- Skillful development of furniture plans.
- Experience in custom FF&E design and development.
- Budget management, including creation and execution of decorative project budgets.
- Proven ability to lead and manage decorative furnishing procurement.
- Effective liaison with workrooms to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and detail.
- Comprehensive management of installation scheduling and on-site coordination.
- Development of compelling client presentations, including visual research and design.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for internal principal reviews and high-end commercial clients.
- Minimum of 7 – 10 years of professional interior design experience.
- Fluency in AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong graphics and visual presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- 3D modeling and rendering experience (Rhino, Revit) is a plus.
- Dexterity with hand drawing: rendering capabilities is a plus.
