The firm provides planning, design, and program management services for major transportation, infrastructure, and building projects, including some of the most complex and high-profile developments in the world.
As a BIM Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating meetings and supporting project teams through the application of BIM technologies. The BIM Manager will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery. Full-time position at the midtown Office in Manhattan, NY (Steps away from Grand Central!!)
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver BIM training sessions for project staff, mentor junior team members, and promote BIM literacy across the design-build program.
- Ensure BIM models meet program requirements, QA/QC standards, ISO 19650 (or other relevant standards), and client-specific guidelines.
- Manage the team to produce regular BIM progress reports, model audits, and documentation of lessons learned to inform continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary BIM point of contact for the Client, Contractors, Consultants and Stakeholders.
- Communicate BIM goals, progress, and issues to project leadership.
- Organize, manage, and lead BIM workshops, coordination meetings, and review sessions.
- Ability to delegate tasks to team members and lead BIM scope on projects.
- Ability to manage and deliver assigned tasks, projects and group initiatives in an efficient manner.
- Oversee clash detection, model federation, and coordination meetings.
- Oversee BIM deliverables across design, construction, and handover.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and execution plans.
- Support 4D (schedule), 5D (cost), and 6D (FM/asset) BIM processes where applicable.
- Ensure that digital information can be used for facility management post-construction.
- Establish best practices for model creation, coordination, and data exchange.
- Facilitate collaboration by managing a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for architectural and engineering designs.
- Act as a support resource for core design technologies.
- Support efforts in development, testing and implementation of design tools and services
- Support the development and implementation interoperability workflows between various design applications/platforms.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BIM-related software.
- Manage integrations with other project management or asset management systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction and design processes.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced knowledge in (BIM) programs and applicable techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industry.
- Experience with a variety of BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, BIM
360 Design Suite, Assemble. - Experience with design software including Rhino, Vray, Lumion, Unity, Unreal, Twinmotion, AutoCAD, etc.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino, are pluses.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline required
- 8+ years of experience in AEC MEP BIM
- Progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite & Services
