Location: New York
We’re working with a leading real estate investment and development firm seeking a Associate Architect to join its development team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an architect with strong design sensibility and technical experience to work on high-profile commercial and high-end residential projects in New York. The Associate Architect will partner closely with the Development team, coordinating outside design professionals and consultants while helping guide projects from early design development through completion.
The role will have meaningful involvement in design direction, construction documentation, project coordination, and field execution.
- Manage high-profile projects through construction
- Lead coordination with outside architects and engineers
- Manage consultants, vendors, and project teams throughout design and construction
- Review design presentations and provide client feedback
- Assist with scopes of work, RFPs, schedules, and project planning
- Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Support construction administration and field execution
- Work closely with the Head of Development on creative direction and project strategy
- Assist with organizational initiatives, including meeting follow-ups and action-item tracking
- 4+ years of professional architecture experience following completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Experience supporting commercial, luxury residential, or other high-end development projects
- Strong understanding of design development, space planning, and architectural documentation
- Comfortable coordinating multiple project stakeholders, including consultants, outside design teams, and vendors
- Hands-on knowledge of construction documentation and project administration through the construction phase
- Highly organized with strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and 3D design/modeling platforms
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Revit is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture required
$120k-$150k plus benefits, 401k and other perks!
