Principal Architect

TYG is partnering with a leading specialist consultancy that is seeking to hire a Principal / Senior Principal to join its Building Envelope practice in New York.

This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the continued growth of an established practice while leading complex, high profile building enclosure projects.

• Lead complex building envelope projects across new construction, rehabilitation and commissioning
• Develop and maintain senior relationships with major owners, architects, developers and industry partners
• Drive business development, strategic pursuits and the expansion of key client accounts
• Provide senior technical oversight across facades, waterproofing, fenestration, roofing and specialty enclosure systems
• Mentor senior technical staff and support the development of future leaders within the practice
• Help shape business strategy, operational priorities and long term growth initiatives
• Support the financial performance and continued expansion of the New York practice

• 15+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, design or a related field preferred
• PE, RA or equivalent professional licensure
• Strong technical expertise across facade and building enclosure systems
• Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Established client relationships and a track record of developing new business
• Experience managing and growing a consulting practice
• Strong client facing, leadership and communication skills

• Senior leadership position within a nationally recognised specialist consultancy
