We are seeking a creative and organized Associate Designer to join a fast-paced design team. This individual will support the design and development process from initial concept through final product execution. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating commercially relevant product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of seasonal apparel collections.
  • Conduct trend, market, and competitive research to identify product opportunities.
  • Create inspiration boards, color palettes, presentations, and seasonal concepts.
  • Develop sketches, technical flats, and design documentation.
  • Prepare design packages and communicate product information to internal teams and external partners.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the product development and sample process.
  • Review samples and assist with revisions to maintain design intent.
  • Attend fittings and support design comments and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate design files, line plans, and development documentation.
  • Assist with presentations and other design-related projects as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines within the seasonal development calendar.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in women’s apparel design, with a strong contemporary fashion taste level and commercial eye.
  • Experience supporting or designing product for off-price and/or licensed apparel businesses.
  • Strong understanding of seasonal development calendars and deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong sketching and technical drawing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, including the ability to create initial design specifications and detailed technical flats.
  • Experience creating and maintaining tech packs, including garment details, construction information, fabrications, trims, and other product specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and the information required for product development and production.
  • Understanding of the product development process from initial concept through sample review and production.
