Chargeurs PCC North America is looking for a Studio Technician to join our team in the heart of Manhattan’s Garment District.
This is an excellent first-career opportunity for a recent graduate in textiles, apparel, fashion, product development, or a related field, as well as candidates with up to four years of relevant experience.
Textile
graduates or those from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and comparable fashion/textile graduates are encouraged to apply.
Chargeurs PCC North America is a leading provider of technical textile solutions and interlinings to the fashion and apparel industry. We partner with leading brands and manufacturers to improve the construction, performance, quality, and functionality of finished garments.
What You’ll DoWork hands-on with leading apparel brands and industry professionals to:
- Apply your knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and product development.
- Develop samples, conduct testing, and solve real-world technical challenges.
- Work directly with customers and Account Managers to identify the right interlining and textile solutions.
- Build technical expertise while developing strong customer and relationship-management skills.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and fully functional textile studio
, ensuring samples, materials, testing items, and documentation are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
- Passion for textiles, garment construction, apparel manufacturing, or product development.
- Foundational understanding of fabrics and textile applications.
- Curiosity, strong communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working with customers and developing relationships.
- Knowledge of Google applications and general computer skills.
- Enjoys organization and basic administrative responsibilities.
- Gain exposure to the technical, commercial side of the business, with a next career step to Sales and Account Management.
