Our client, a leading apparel company, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their young men's & boys sportswear team in New York!
* WFH flexibility on Fridays
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with design and sourcing to create specs for development in men's sizes ranging from 2T-7 and 8-20
- Work with Assistant Designer on Tech Packs and make graded specs for orders
- Lead fittings and assess garments from pronto to pre-production
- Communicate with overseas makers
- Work with Production Managers to ensure deliveries are on time for corrections to fit and pattern
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for boys & men's
- Can use MS office & Excel for spec sheets
- Proficient in using Mac Desktop
- Knowledge in construction and sewing
- Strong knowledge and experience with children's safety protocol
- Works well with a team
- Familiar with tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for girls and ladies
- Proficient in Adobe CS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented
