Aboutthe Role
As a Textile Designer, you will help shape EnVogue’s growing textile and soft home categories by translating seasonal trends into commercially relevant, production-ready designs. This role combines trend research, textile design, CAD development, technical execution, and merchandising, with a strong focus on creating cohesive assortments for major retailers.
Responsibilities- Research and translate seasonal trends, color palettes, print concepts, and woven and printed textures into commercially relevant textile designs.
- Create pattern repeats, CAD renderings, colorways, and realistic product mockups for buyer presentations and internal reviews.
- Develop and curate cohesive fabric, print, and pattern assortments aligned with retailer needs, price points, and SKU strategies.
- Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork, including color separations, print scale guides, repeat specifications, Pantone callouts, and technical spec sheets.
- Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sales teams to ensure designs align with seasonal direction and retail opportunities.
- Collaborate with global manufacturers to review strike-offs, lab dips, sample swatches, and production samples, resolving print, color, construction, and weave issues.
- Maintain design integrity throughout the development process, from initial concept and CAD through final production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, with experience creating CADs, pattern repeats, colorways, and product mappings.
- Strong understanding of color theory, print and pattern development, trend forecasting, and textile/material selection.
- Knowledge of textile construction, printing and weaving techniques, materials, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to translate creative concepts into production-ready artwork and specifications.
