Intermediate Architectural Designer

Andrew Franz Architect, PLLC, is an award-winning New York City based boutique architectural and interior design studio located in Flatiron with projects ranging from private houses and apartments to a variety of commercial and cultural facilities.

The studio is currently seeking a full-time Architectural Designer with 5-7 years of professional experience to work on high-end residential design projects in NY, the surrounding states, Florida and the Bahamas, in a casual and collaborative work environment.

• Have great design talent and be capable of executing both modern and contextually appropriate designs
• Work on projects from inception to completion
• Be self-driven, motivated, and able to work with confidence through every stage of a project in a collaborative team environment
• CD development experience and thorough knowledge of assembling CD, DOB and LPC sets
• Proficiency in NYC Department of Buildings coordination, zoning and building codes
• Great understanding of the construction process and excellent communication skills

• BArch or MArch degree
• 5-7 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in Revit a must, along with Adobe Suite, 3D modeling + rendering (Enscape & Rhino preferred), and strong Autocad and drafting skills
• Experience managing residential jobs
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and client relationship skills
• Strong design skills and a technical aptitude
