Survey the job site prior to the start of the project. Prepare detailed technical drawings of architectural and structural features of buildings such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details. Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects. Analyze building codes, bylaws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
Present drawings and plans for approval to the NYC Department of Buildings. Preform feasibility reports and ensure the building is in compliance with local rules and regulations. Compile needed blueprints, specifications, and construction reports. Work closely with construction managers and workers to ensure the project is completed on Time and according to the specified design.
