Merchandising Intern Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and specific brand visions.
- Reviewing selling reports and shopping the competitive retail landscape to identify white space opportunities and bring new product ideas to fruition.
- Assisting with/ line sheet and sample preparation for customer and licensor meetings
- Entering specs into our Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) System to keep track of samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
- Checking in and organizing development samples from the factories
- Working with/ International suppliers directly through daily email communication
Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and presents a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
Qualifications:- Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
- Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
- Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks)
- Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Looking to gain hands-on experience
