Associate Designer - Kids Activewear

Responsibilities

• Research trends, newness, and market insights to support business growth
• Research fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, and graphics
• Shop the market for inspiration and competitive analysis
• Create trend reports, CADs, and detailed design specification pages for seasonal collections
• Assist in the development of kids’ sets and separates across multiple accounts
• Collaborate with the design director and cross-functional partners to develop brand-specific styles aligned with merchandising strategies
• Partner with Technical Design and Production teams to ensure design details, fit, and construction meet brand standards
• Create selling tools including presentation boards, line sheets, color cards, and other design assets as needed
• Provide general design team support, demonstrating flexibility to meet calendar deadlines and deliverables

• 2+ years of experience in apparel design
• Experience in kids’ apparel preferred; active wear experience a plus
• Strong print and graphic design skills preferred
• Proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of trends, color, fabrics, trims, fit, and garment construction
• Creative, strategic, and technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience
