We are seeking a highly creative and structurally minded Senior Manager of Packaging Design to lead the end-to-end packaging strategy for our multi-brand portfolio of high-volume soft home textiles. In this role, you will oversee the visual and physical design lifecycle for products ranging from fashion bedding and sheets to utility bedding and window treatments. You will balance elevated, trend-right aesthetics with cost-effective, factory-ready structural engineering.
Leading a lean internal creative team and partnering closely with global vendors, you will ensure our products stand out on shelves and digital platforms for major mass, department store, and e-commerce retail partners.
- Creative Direction & Brand Strategy:
- Multi-Brand Management:
Drive the packaging identity, graphic style, and visual storytelling for a diverse portfolio of proprietary, licensed, and private-label home brands - Retailer Alignment:
Tailor packaging designs to meet the distinct compliance, aesthetic, and demographic requirements of varied retail channels (e.g., mass market, club, department store, and e-commerce) - Trend & Material Innovation:
Infuse seasonal graphic, color, and lifestyle trends into packaging concepts while continually researching new substrates and presentation methods

- Technical Design & Production Execution:
- Structural Development:
Design and review complex textile packaging structures (e.g., bands, vinyl bags, inserts, PDQs, and corrugate displays) that maximize shelf presence and optimize shipping efficiency - Production Quality Control:
Review and approve final production mechanicals, ensuring exact accuracy in typography, legal copy, and color standards (Pantone/CMYK) for overseas printing - Global Sourcing
Collaboration:
Partner directly with international factories and printers to troubleshoot production challenges, evaluate material samples, and ensure design integrity from prototype to final shipment

Direct and inspire a small team of packaging designers, providing clear creative guidance, setting clear performance goals, and managing day-to-day workflow - Cross-Functional Communication:
Collaborate tightly with Sales, Merchandising, and Overseas Sourcing teams to keep projects aligned with fast-paced seasonal market calendars - Sustainability Initiatives:
Lead efforts to integrate eco-friendly materials and reduce packaging waste in alignment with evolving corporate and retail partner sustainability mandates
- Design Mentorship:
- Experience:
7+ years of progressive graphic and structural packaging design experience, including at least 2-3 years managing direct reports or creative teams - Industry Focus:
Proven track record in consumer goods packaging, with specific, heavy experience in soft home textiles (bedding, sheets, comforters, bath, or window treatments) - Technical Expert:
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Experience generating 3D renderings or using CAD software for structural layouts is highly preferred - Production Savvy:
Deep technical knowledge of print processes, color management, paperboard structures, and the unique constraints of packaging flexible textile products. - Speed & Agility:
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple moving timelines and seasonal retail deadlines - Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating excellent typography, clean layout design, structural dielines, and completed retail products
