Freelance Architect; Residential, Healthcare & Commercial Projects

Gig Bench has upcoming project-based opportunities for freelance architects in New York, NY, spanning residential, healthcare, and commercial project types. Rather than a single fixed-scope assignment, this is a flexible, ongoing engagement structure for architects who enjoy variety in their work and want to build a longer-term freelance relationship with a firm actively bringing on project-based support as needs arise. Specific gigs currently span a Residential Architect role, a Healthcare Architect role, and a Commercial Project Architect role, with scope and timeline varying by project.

This is well suited to an architect who is comfortable moving between project types and wants steady access to a pipeline of work rather than a one-off assignment.

• Support architectural design across residential, healthcare, and/or commercial project types depending on assignment
• Develop design documentation appropriate to each project's phase and scope
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other project stakeholders as needed
• Adapt to varying project requirements and timelines across a flexible pipeline of work
• Maintain design quality and consistency across multiple concurrent or sequential engagements

• Experience across at least one of the following: residential, healthcare, or commercial architecture
• Comfort working across varied project types and scopes rather than a single fixed assignment
• Strong communication skills for building an ongoing freelance working relationship
• Proficiency with standard architectural design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD)
