Experienced Technical Designer​/Fit Technician – Women’s Woven Apparel

Smiles Fashion Corp.is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Technical Designer / Fit Technician
to join our growing women’s apparel team.

We are looking for a
hands-on technical designer with strong women’s woven apparel experience
who understands garment construction, fit, grading, measurements, and production specifications and can work directly with overseas factories to achieve the correct fit and quality.

• Measure and evaluate
  Proto, Fit, PP, and TOP samples
  and prepare for fit sessions.
• Conduct and eventually
  lead fit sessions on mannequins/models
  .
• Review samples for accuracy in
  fit, measurements, construction, trims, finishes, and overall appearance
  .
• Identify issues related to
  fit, balance, proportion, comfort, and garment construction
  and determine appropriate corrections.
• Prepare clear, detailed, and actionable
  fit comments for overseas factories
  .
• Follow up with factories to ensure corrections are properly implemented.
• Review revised samples and communicate additional corrections as needed.
• Troubleshoot
  production and quality issues
  with Production and overseas factories.
• Perform
  PP/TOP quality control
  to ensure garments meet approved fit, measurement, construction, and quality standards before customer submission.
• Maintain accurate measurement specifications, fit comments, and approval records.
• Collaborate closely with
  Design and Production
  from initial development through final production.
• Help maintain consistent
  fit and quality standards
  across product categories.

• Strong knowledge of
  women’s woven garment construction, fit, grading, and size scaling
  .
• Strong understanding of
  pattern fundamentals, base-size development, measurements, and production specifications
  .
• Ability to evaluate different
  fits, silhouettes, proportions, and design aesthetics
  .
• Ability to read and follow
  tech packs, construction details, measurement specifications, and design comments
  .
• Strong understanding of garment measurements and ability to identify and correct fit issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in
  Microsoft Office and Excel
  .
• Experience working with
  overseas factories
  is strongly preferred.
• Experience with
  women’s woven dresses, tops, skirts, and pants
  is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of
  Browzwear VStitcher, CLO 3D, or similar 3D pattern-making/virtual sampling software
  is a plus, but not required.

5+ years of relevant Technical Design / Fit Technician experience preferred.
