General Summary
We are looking for a skilled handbag Associate Designer to work on our Steve Madden Handbag team!
Major Responsibilities- Fast and efficient knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Email and communicate directly with factories on development and our teams overseas to source new materials
- Attend trade shows, shop retail and research to ensure designs are on trend for our brand and represent our target customer
- Be able to develop product from start to finish. This includes CAD presentations, print development, and detailed specs
- Design categories include: handbags, SLGs, diaper bags and weekenders
- Be responsible for own account and design to target this specific customer while still keeping true to the brand
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while not compromising design aesthetic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in CAD
- Ability to re-design
- Work Closely with Design Manager
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years’ experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60,000-$70,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
