We are now seeking a Medical Director, for this program who is BE/BC in Pediatric Cardiology and meets UNOS criteria for Pediatric Heart Transplantation to lead the initiation of these programs. Candidates of any tenure will be considered, and they will be supported by our award-winning and collegial team of physicians at the Cohen Children’s Heart Center. The role will also offer the opportunity for research, advocacy, and education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Faculty appointment will be with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and clinical rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will oversee the growth and development of these programs and will have strong support and partnership from our Division Director who has extensive transplant and program building experience.
In addition to the Physician role, we are recruiting an experienced Heart Transplant Advanced Practice Nurse and a Pediatric VAD Coordinator. The Medical Director will be actively engaged in building and selecting their team. These individuals will partner with the medical leadership to assure the smooth initiation of these programs and education of the inpatient and outpatient teams.
