Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Endocrinologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state‑of‑the‑art surgical services.

The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services‑from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical attending for outpatient clinics and inpatient consults for a diverse patient population
  • Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances
  • Discuss diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures
  • Carry out follow‑up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records
  • Support patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions
  • Collaboration with mid‑level providers
  • Supervision and teaching of medical residents, endocrine fellows and medical students, in staff conferences, and in research projects as directed
  • Advise the less experienced members of the professional medical staff
Qualifications
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board certified/eligible in Endocrinology
  • Active NYS License
  • Experience working with an underserved patient population is preferred
Wages and Benefits
  • Annual Base Salary: $239,000
    * based on a 40‑hour work week
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
