A major enterprise health system is launching its Epic Wave 2 go‑live across more than 13 hospital and ambulatory sites throughout the New York region, including major academic medical centers.
Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced physician leaders and advanced practice providers to serve as Epic Peer‑to‑Peer Physician Educators during a high‑visibility Wave 2 go‑live.
This role is fully advisory
—focused on provider adoption, workflow optimization, personalization support, and real‑time issue resolution. No independent clinical practice is expected.
Educators will work side‑by‑side with physicians and ACPs to ensure smooth transitions, efficient workflows, and strong operational readiness during both go‑live preparation and post‑go‑live stabilization.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver peer‑to‑peer Epic support for physicians and ACPs in inpatient and ambulatory settings
- Provide at‑the‑elbow workflow guidance throughout the go‑live period
- Facilitate personalization labs
, efficiency coaching, and optimization sessions - Assist providers with order set navigation and system personalization
- Troubleshoot real‑time provider issues and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support adoption and operational readiness across assigned facilities
- Collaborate closely with clinical and IT leadership to ensure a seamless transition
- MD, DO, PA, or NP credential
- Prior experience supporting Epic implementations or go‑lives
- Understanding of both inpatient and ambulatory workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence practicing clinicians
- Ability to work on‑site in fast‑paced, high‑demand healthcare environments
- Epic certification or advanced experience in one or more modules:
- Prior leadership experience (e.g.,
Physician Champion, CMIO
) - Ability to float across multiple hospital and ambulatory sites as needed
- Former CMIO, physician champion, or clinical informatics leader
- Experienced in enterprise‑level Epic implementation support
- Collaborative, adaptable, and highly solution‑oriented
