Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/ Harlem. Harlem Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. Opportunity Details:
Growing practice with ample leadership opportunities
No cardiac surgery or transplant cases; occasional pediatric cases (age 2+)Team includes fellows in OB Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care, and Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Case volume: ~300–360 OR cases per month
Obstetric volume:
Off-site anesthesia locations include MRI, Interventional Radiology, and a combined Endoscopy/Bronchoscopy suite (located adjacent to the main ORs)6 main operating rooms; no office-based anesthesia or freestanding ambulatory surgery center
Supported by three dedicated Biomedical Equipment Technicians Some solo cases; CRNA supervision model with a 1:2 ratio and all CRNAs working under supervision
Qualifications A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York Experience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not required
Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible) ; $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $600,000** (board eligible) and $610,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000
*** Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required
