Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an OB/GYN Hospitalist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world‑renowned Level I Trauma Center serving 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to uphold high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including management of labor, deliveries, and postpartum care.
  • Manage obstetric triage evaluations and admissions.
  • Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal‑fetal resuscitation.
  • Collaborate with maternal‑fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Promote a culture of safety through open communication and debriefing with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Flexible schedule options, including shifts.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for trainees including residents, students, and nursing staff.
Qualifications
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Current experience is required.
Compensation & Benefits

Wages and Benefits Include:

  • Annual Base Salary: $284,000* (board eligible); $289,000* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation is available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The estimated annual total value of the compensation package is $382,600** (board eligible) and $388,100** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors described below.
  • $70,200
    *** for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution:
    Immediately vested in a 3% contribution of base earnings; a further 7% after one year of service.
  • Annual CME Reimbursement.
