The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst seeks a full‑time General Clinical Gastroenterologist to join as faculty. We are looking for a highly motivated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
The GI division sees a large volume of diverse GI pathology including non‑transplant liver disease. The position involves outpatient and inpatient management, performing general procedures including endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, and esophageal motility, teaching residents and fellows, and potential for clinical research.
Responsibilities- Outpatient and inpatient management of GI patients.
- Perform general procedures: endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and esophageal motility studies.
- Teach residents and fellows.
- Engage in clinical research.
- MD degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Valid New York State medical license, DEA, and Medicaid number.
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications, along with a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation ranges from $349,000 to $469,000 FTE, annualized, including on‑call coverage and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
