Clinical Director of Hepatology

Overview

Northwell Health is seeking a Clinical Director of Hepatology at Lenox Hill Hospital – NY, NY. The Northwell Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation and the Division of Hepatology at Northwell Health are actively seeking a Clinical Director of Hepatology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY.

• Oversee the medical care of patients with liver diseases, including those in need of liver transplantation.
• Diagnose and treat liver conditions; assess eligibility for liver transplantation; oversee pre- and post-transplant care.
• Educate medical students, residents, and GI and Transplant Hepatology fellows.
• Lead clinical strategy, program development, and multidisciplinary teams; foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Be BE/BC in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology; demonstrated expertise in General and Transplant Hepatology and endoscopy.
• Work with hepatologists, advanced care practitioners, and other professionals at the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation – Lenox Hill location.

• Board certification in transplant hepatology.
• 5+ years of transplant hepatology experience is preferred.
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a large health system or academic medical center.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
• Academic experience considered an advantage.
