Overview

Weill Cornell Medicine – New York-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to direct its Heart Failure, Transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Program. This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship, system-wide initiative that integrates world-class clinical care, innovative research in heart failure, and academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a nationally recognized heart failure cardiologist with a strong track record of clinical excellence, program-building, and scholarly contributions. Candidates must have completed fellowship training in mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation and hold board certification in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure.

Key program highlights include:

  • A full spectrum of advanced heart failure services, including transplantation, durable and temporary MCS, advanced imaging, and genomic profiling
  • A dedicated heart failure research institute supporting clinical and translational investigations
  • A strong culture of education and mentorship, including an ACGME-accredited heart failure fellowship and cross-campus teaching conferences
  • A major referral center for complex heart failure across New York City and the region

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to clinical innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a balanced academic portfolio with ongoing or emerging contributions to heart failure research.

Appointment as an Associate or Attending Physician of New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) will be contingent upon approval of the WCM academic appointment. Hospital attending and/or consultation privileges will be limited to WCM and NYP-Lower Manhattan Hospital, unless otherwise specifically agreed to in writing by the Medical College Dean.

Weill Cornell Medicine provides a salary ranges for this position in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Salary for this role is salary range of $500-650K; the salary listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation, bonuses, and/or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
