Psychiatrist Out-Patient – Full‑Time, Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM – Syracuse, NY (Hybrid telemedicine and in‑person options available).
The Psychiatrist Out-Patient is responsible for providing professional medical services and assessing and monitoring a patient’s ongoing psychiatric needs. This includes general psychiatry/consulting services with primary care and behavioral health integrations. You will act as the psychiatric consultant within the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model, supported by nurse behavioral health care coordinators. You will advise primary care providers in developing medical care plans for patients with mental health diagnoses and recommend adjustments as necessary.
You will regularly review patients in the Collaborative Care Model and advise behavioral health care managers and primary care providers on adherence and tolerance of treatments.
- Current, valid, unrestricted Physician license in New York
- Active staff membership and clinical privileges appropriate to duties and responsibilities
- Current, valid, unrestricted federal and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances
- Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry (required)
- Subspecialty Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine (preferred)
- Experience in collaborative care models and behavioral health integration
Pay Range: $200,000 – $300,000 annually, DOE
