Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support Dr. Andrew Ciancimino exclusively in a well-established internal medicine practice. This outpatient role focuses on adult primary care and offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while working closely with an experienced internist.
This position is ideal for an APP who values collaborative practice, continuity of care, and delivering high-quality internal medicine services in a supportive office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care under physician collaboration
* Conduct new patient visits, follow-up appointments, and routine sick visits
* Manage chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and thyroid disorders
* Perform preventive care services, including annual physicals and Medicare wellness visits
* Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
* Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations
* Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modification
* Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services
* Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
* Support quality initiatives and evidence-based internal medicine practices
Qualifications
* Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State (or eligible)
* National board certification required
* BLS/ACLS/DEA
* Prior experience in internal medicine or adult primary care preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered)
* Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
