Job Overview – Primary Care Physician (Temporary)
Compensation: $125 – $129/hour
Location: Westchester County, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Primary Care Physician (Temporary) in Westchester County, NY for our client, supporting primary care, preventive medicine, patient assessments, and outpatient healthcare services within a clinical setting. This temporary opportunity will provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients while collaborating with clinical teams and healthcare providers to support positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong primary care experience, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilitiesas the Primary Care Physician
- Patient Care:
Provide comprehensive primary care services, perform evaluations, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing patient care. - Clinical Leadership:
Serve as a medical resource for clinical staff, support interdisciplinary care planning, and promote quality patient outcomes. - Care Coordination:
Collaborate with nurse practitioners, specialists, community providers, and care teams to ensure continuity of care. - Preventive Medicine:
Conduct health screenings, wellness evaluations, chronic disease management, and preventive care initiatives. - Medical Oversight:
Participate in utilization review activities, quality improvement programs, and clinical documentation review. - Patient & Family Support:
Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, disease management, and healthcare resources.
- Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school is required. - Licensure:
Active and unrestricted New York physician license, DEA registration, and Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment are required. - Certification:
Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required. Geriatric Medicine certification or related experience is preferred. - Experience:
2+ years of experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric medicine, or related outpatient clinical settings is required. - Industry Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, preventative medicine, geriatric care, interdisciplinary healthcare delivery, and quality improvement initiatives is required. - Skills & Attributes:
Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, collaboration, and patient care skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment are required.
