Tink Bird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physician (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant for an immediate locum tenens/temporary coverage opportunity at a community-focused primary care and walk-in clinic in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. The practice provides accessible, high-quality primary care to a diverse community, with a combination of scheduled and same-day walk-in visits. Job Type: Locum Tenens / Temporary Coverage.

Initial coverage needed for September and October 2026. Target start date:
September 1, 2026. Potential PRN continuation depending on permanent hiring needs. Coverage primarily needed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Provider does not necessarily need to work all three days; scheduling can be based on provider availability and practice needs.
Hours:
9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Up to 10-hour shifts.
Practice hours. Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM. Saturday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Practice EnvironmentOutpatient primary care and walk-in clinic. Diverse community patient population. Approximately 28–36 patients per day. Approximately 60% scheduled / 40% walk-in. Patients of all ages. Independent clinical practice with collaborative support. Two Medical Assistants onsite. Student Medical Assistant support typically available. Supervising physician available by phone for NP/PA providers. EMR: MDLand (iClinic).
Clinical ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive Annual Wellness Visits. Perform preventive health screenings according to current clinical guidelines. Diagnose and manage acute illnesses. Evaluate and treat same-day/walk-in patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Provide chronic disease management. Coordinate patient care and referrals. Manage controlled-substance prescribing when clinically appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Maintain appropriate coding and billing practices. Collaborate with clinical support staff to optimize patient care and workflow.
Support a positive, patient-centered experience.
MD, DO, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Board Certification required. Family Medicine or Internal Medicine certification for physicians and applicable APP certifications. Active, unrestricted New York State license. Active New York DEA. Current BLS certification. Prior Medicare/Medicaid enrollment required. No pending malpractice matters. Outpatient primary care experience preferred. 2–5 years of experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills. Comfortable working independently in a busy primary care/walk-in environment.
Strong EMR and clinical documentation skills.
