Cardiologist - Cardiometabolic Health

Join a Multidisciplinary Cardiometabolic Health Program
Health Pro Talent isseekinga Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist with strong interest in cardiometabolic health on behalf of a well-established, community-based healthcare organization in Brooklyn. The physician will join multidisciplinary program alongside Nephrologist and Endocrinologist.
This is an opportunity to provide coordinated outpatient care for patients with cardiovascular disease and complex cardiometabolic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, obesity, and lipid disorders.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and other cardiovascular conditions
- Provide cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive cardiology for patients with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, obesity, and metabolic disease
- Order appropriate cardiovascular testing and incorporate results into treatment planning
- Develop individualized treatment plans, manage cardiovascular medications, and coordinate related cardiometabolic care
- Collaborate with the nephrologist, endocrinologist, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients on cardiovascular risk reduction and participate in quality improvement and program development
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Active New York medical license or ability to obtain one
- DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Four to six years of clinical experience; ACLS certification preferred
- Additional training or demonstrated expertise in preventive cardiology, cardiometabolic medicine, clinical lipidology, or obesity medicine
- Experience managing cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes, obesity, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and complex lipid disorders
- Certification by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology or the American Board of Obesity Medicine is a plus
- Experience in multidisciplinary cardiometabolic care, program development, population health, or community-based care
- Annual base salary: $350,000-$450,000, based on experience and qualifications
- This range reflects base salary only and does not represent a cap on total compensation. Additional earning opportunities, including productivity incentives or other bonuses, may be available.
