Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon – Kings County. Join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, a Level 1 Trauma Center serving 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The role focuses on complex orthopedic trauma cases and participates in multidisciplinary trauma meetings and 24/7 on‑call coverage.

• Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases including pelvic fractures, complex long bone and intra‑articular fractures, complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
• Participate in the emergency call schedule for orthopedic surgery.
• Participate in ACS trauma multi‑disciplinary activities, including data collection and compliance for a Level I trauma center.
• Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, and physician assistants.
• Critically review orthopedic trauma consultations seen in the Emergency Department and inpatient units.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient surgical and non‑surgical care for complex orthopedic trauma.
• Act as orthopedic liaison to the multi‑disciplinary trauma committee.
• Responsible for quality programs required by the hospital and the American College of Surgeons.
• Departmental administration as required.

• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship trained, Board Eligible or Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.

Annual Base Salary: $272,475* (part‑time, 21‑hour work week). Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

Estimated total compensation package: $377,723** (includes baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors).

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $78,000.
• 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested; after one year, additional 7% offered. No employee match.
