Position Overview
The Department of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks a full‑time Surgical Pathologist certified in AP or AP & CP by the American Board of Pathology for our campus in Park Slope, Brooklyn
. The selected candidate will be an employee of Weill Cornell Medicine and hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
- General surgical pathology service with a focus on subspecialty areas (GYN, GI, GU, Breast)
- Frozen section consultations
- Night and weekend surgical pathology call
- Tumor board coverage
- Other routine hospital‑based practice responsibilities
- Certification in AP or AP & CP by the American Board of Pathology
- Minimum two years of independent sign‑out experience
- Fellowship training or significant experience in surgical pathology subspecialty areas favored (GYN, GI, GU, Breast)
- Ability to meet quality and productivity metrics (incentive potential)
Salary range is $260,000 to $420,000, not including benefits and incentive payments based on quality measures and productivity.
LocationBrooklyn Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is an ACS‑level II trauma center with 651 beds. The campus offers academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medicine and opportunities for residency and fellowship programs.
