We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine to join and help develop a growing Neuromuscular Medicine Program in the North Region
. This is an exciting opportunity for a neuromuscular specialist who is interested not only in clinical practice, but also in building and shaping a developing regional program within a larger academic health system.

Position Highlights
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the development and expansion of neuromuscular services in the North Region
  • Build a regional referral base for patients with neuromuscular disorders
  • Develop and expand EMG/NCS services
  • Opportunity to establish focused programs for conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, myasthenia gravis, CIDP, muscular dystrophy, SMA, and motor neuron disease
  • Collaborate closely with an established neuromuscular team across the health system
  • Develop multidisciplinary relationships with PM&R, neurosurgery, pain management, rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapy, pulmonology, cardiology, and genetics
  • Participate in teaching of neurology residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Opportunities for clinical research and participation in emerging neuromuscular therapeutics and clinical trials

. The successful candidate will have the ability to influence the structure and growth of the program, including referral pathways, EMG services, multidisciplinary clinics, community outreach, and future recruitment.

The position is particularly well suited for a physician who enjoys building programs, developing collaborative relationships, and creating a regional center of excellence in neuromuscular medicine
.

  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Clinical trials and emerging neuromuscular therapies
  • Development of regional and system-wide neuromuscular programs

For a motivated neuromuscular specialist, this represents an opportunity to build a practice, develop a program, and become a key physician leader in the growth of neuromuscular medicine in the North Region
.
