- Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic with opioid treatment program.
- Diagnose substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, and co-occurring mental health disorders, and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria.
- Order and manage medications for addiction treatment, including for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
- Orders and manages pharmacotherapeutic interventions for co-occurring disorders as clinically indicated.
- Monitor the progress of individuals in treatment and review the appropriateness of continued treatment and level of care.
- Contribute to the completion of Treatment Plans and Utilization Reviews.
- Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services as well as preparing didactic presentations as needed.
- Assist with orientation of new physicians and staff in addiction services.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry.
- Active New York State Medical License.
Annual Base Salary: $278,200* (board eligible); $288,500* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
