Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Chief of Vascular Surgery at Peconic Bay Medical Center to lead and grow the vascular surgery service line. This exceptional opportunity involves overseeing clinical operations, maintaining an active clinical practice with open and endovascular procedures, and fostering a collaborative environment with surgical colleagues and advanced practice providers. The successful candidate will drive departmental growth, quality initiatives, and physician engagement while serving Long Island's North Fork community.

- Peconic Bay Medical Center is a 125-bed acute care hospital located in Riverhead, NY, serving the North Fork and surrounding communities of eastern Long Island
- The hospital is expanding its surgical services to meet growing community need

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Vascular Surgery division, including clinical operations, staffing, and program development
- Maintain an active clinical practice, including open and endovascular procedures
- Develop engagement, alignment, and collaboration with referring physicians and other clinical departments across the health system
- Lead initiatives focused on quality, patient safety, operational excellence, and program development
- Advance departmental growth through strategic planning, recruitment, and service line expansion
- Partner with hospital and system leadership on administrative, financial, and operational priorities
- Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, diversity, and physician engagement
Shift & Schedule
- Full-time
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience is preferred
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of New York
- Demonstrated leadership experience within an academic or clinically integrated health system environment
- A proven track record of clinical excellence, physician engagement, and program growth
- Experience in both open and minimally invasive/endovascular techniques
