Chief of Urology

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as the Chief of Urology at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. In this role, the Chief will collaborate with the chair on clinical operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and drive a culture of scholarship in quality improvement and health equity. The successful candidate will join a collaborative network of specialists within the Arthur Smith Institute for Urology, helping maintain department excellence and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Working with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations
• Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols
• Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes
• Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff
• Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department

Requirements

• MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility
• Current for NYS License
• Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff
• Previous division, department, or program leadership
