Your Daily Impact:

• You will perform comprehensive eye exams, refractions, slit lamp evaluations, and ocular health assessments for patients of all ages.
• You will diagnose, monitor, and manage ocular disease while creating thoughtful treatment plans that support long-term visual wellness.
• You will use modern diagnostic technology, including optical coherence tomography, visual field testing, fundus photography, Optomap imaging, tonometry, pachymetry, and corneal topography.
• You will provide contact lens fittings, specialty contact lens care, and follow-up support that helps patients achieve comfortable, high-quality vision.
• You will educate patients and families with clarity and empathy, making clinical findings and care recommendations easy to understand.
• You will partner with clinical staff and optical professionals to create a seamless, welcoming experience from pre-testing through vision correction.

What You Bring:

• You hold a Doctor of Optometry degree and maintain an active New York optometry license in good standing.
• You bring strong experience in comprehensive eye care, refraction, eye exams, and medical optometry.
• You can confidently assess ocular health, interpret diagnostic testing, and develop accurate, patient-centered care plans.
• You have hands-on experience with contact lens fitting and can recommend appropriate lens options for individual patient needs.
• You communicate professionally and compassionately while building trust with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Clinical

Experience:

• Experience with autorefractors, keratometry, lensometry, applanation tonometry, pre-testing workflows, and visual field testing is valued.
• Familiarity with working alongside Certified Ophthalmic Technicians and optical teams will help you thrive in this collaborative environment.
