Overview
The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center in partnership with the Vagelos College of Physicians and the Department of Systems Biology/Program for Mathematical Genomics invites applications for an endowed Irving Professorship focused on computational cancer biology including areas of cancer genomics or epigenomics, tumor immunology, computational structural biology, artificial intelligence/machine learning applied to cancer research among other related topics. We are seeking the recruitment of mid-career (senior tenured Associate Professors) or more established investigators (tenured Professors).
Responsibilities- Nomination for membership within the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) and affiliation with one of its four Research Programs.
- Access to Shared Resources at discounted rates and engagement with a vibrant community of clinicians and scientists across Columbia University and affiliated institutions.
- Education, mentorship, and collaboration within the center and department/division as it relates to cancer research activities.
- Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
- Strong commitment to research, mentoring, and teaching; ability to foster a climate of excellence and diversity.
- Qualified Ph.D. and/or MD investigators should have demonstrated scientific productivity with an established NIH and non-NIH funding portfolio, and evidence of recognition in their respective fields.
- Hiring Salary Range: $175,000 - $375,000
- Associate Professor: $175,000 - $300,000
- Professor: $275,000 - $375,000
