Position Description
We are seeking a motivated, engaging, and child-centered substitute to support our elementary school community. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children in grades K–6.
Responsibilities- Supervising students during lunch and recess
- Assisting in classrooms to support student learning
- Supporting students with medical or transition needs
- Providing coverage or assistance in non-classroom settings as needed
The successful candidate is adaptable, dependable, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
Qualifications- New York State Fingerprint clearance and Civil Service approval required
- Strong communication skills and prior experience working with elementary students preferred
- The hourly rate is $21.16
