Job SummaryReporting to the Associate Director of Admission, the Admission Counselor will assist in developing and executing an effective recruitment strategy and strategic plan to meet undergraduate student enrollment goals.
Essential Functions- Research, develop, and execute a full recruitment schedule, including high‑school visits, college fairs, and recruitment events within a given territory.
- Provide recruitment reports and updates as necessary.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with guidance and college counselors within the recruitment territory.
- Review undergraduate admission applications in a timely manner, consistent with departmental policies.
- Assist with daily operations of the Office of Admission through admission presentations, interviews, on and off‑campus events (e.g., Open Houses, Accepted Student Days), email, online chats, and call campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Relevant experience in admission, enrollment management, or higher education is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Understanding of confidentiality related to handling confidential information is required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, mornings, and weekends is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Technolutions Slate, and Ellucian Banner is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities with short notice and changing deadlines is preferred.
Employee is occasionally required to stand, move, sit, carry work, use controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and communicate. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull‑time. Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.;
Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Occasional early morning, night, and weekend hours may be required.
Extensive periods of travel throughout the undergraduate recruitment seasons, including domestic and international overnight travel.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
PreferredEducation and Experience
Experience in admission or higher education is preferred.
Additional Eligibility QualificationsValid driver’s license is required.

Pay TransparencyAnnual salary: $64,350.
