Activity Coordinator – Welcome Camp
EF High School Exchange Year (HSEY) is seeking positive, energetic, and responsible individuals to work with international exchange students at its summer orientation camp held on the EF Academy campus in Thornwood, NY.
Location: Thornwood, NY (EF Academy Campus)
EF Welcome Camp is a summer orientation program that blends the feel of summer camp with a simulated American high school experience to help international students grow more comfortable, confident, and prepared as they begin their exchange journey.

- Manage extracurricular programming at Welcome Camp, from small-scale activities like arts and crafts or soccer, to large-scale student events such as lip sync battles and themed competitions.
- Coordinate logistics and adjust details to ensure programs run smoothly and successfully.
- Confirm campus space reservations, organize supplies, set up/clean up of activities, and communicate relevant information to all parties.
- Assist with student bed checks, create signage, assist miscellaneous needs on student travel days, and support the Campus Operations Coordinator with bus loading/unloading for off‑site trips.
- Do not manage or oversee any specific staff.
- Complete two online training modules to familiarize with the EF HSEY program and attend training prior to students’ arrival.
- Estimated 60 hours per week at $17/hour; overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
- Room and board provided for the duration of the program.
- This position is part of Senior Staff; candidates must be available for the full duration of the summer season.
