The Instructor is responsible for providing teaching/learning experiences in the clinical setting. This includes facilitating and evaluating student learning in clinical learning experiences and classroom labs. The Instructor has knowledge of the philosophy, conceptual framework, and objectives of the school and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Department and the Hospital Center.

• Clinical/Technical/Service
• Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks:
• Guides clinical experiences in accordance with course objectives
• Utilizes appropriate instructional modalities in teaching
• Incorporates new teaching strategies as directed
• Develops knowledge and skills in the area of teaching responsibility
• Fosters a climate conducive to learning
• Is knowledgeable of the learning material used in the course
• Teaches and supervises students in clinical experiences/classroom labs as scheduled
• Identifies students' learning needs relevant to clinical objectives
• Conducts clinical experience on units as assigned
• Provides appropriate clinical assignments for students aimed at correlating theory with clinical practice
• Conducts pre and post conferences that enhance student learning
• Observes and guides students in carrying out their clinical assignments
• Maintains progress reports for all assigned students
• Reviews students' overall progress with another course coordinator
• Meets with the course coordinator as scheduled
• Keeps students informed of their clinical progress and provides students with the opportunity for self‑evaluation

• Maintains attendance and on‑time arrival data for all assigned students
