Founded by William Esper in 1965 and now celebrating 60 years, Esper Studio carries forward one of the most influential legacies in actor training.

Join a thriving network of alumni working across film, television, and theatre including Regina Hall, Ramy Youssef, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Sam Rockwell, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Timothy Olyphant, Tracee Ellis Ross, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Eden Espinosa and many more.

Our Two-Year Acting Program offers premier conservatory-level training on a par with the most prestigious BFA and MFA programs. All acting teachers at the Studio were trained directly by William Esper and our conservatory faculty includes current and former instructors from NYU Tisch, Carnegie Mellon, Yale, Juilliard, and Rutgers.

Graduates are eligible to join our Career Launch Program, featuring industry workshops, personalized mentorship, and live and digital industry presentations that bridge training to professional work.

Our Summer Intensive is a focused introduction to Meisner-based training with classes available mornings, afternoons, or evenings, meeting three to five days per week depending on your program track and schedule. Perfect for those looking to jump-start their training or professionals seeking to elevate their craft in an immersive format.
