Position: In-Person Test Prep Tutor - SAT/ACT - $90-100 per hour

The Tutorverse is hiring an experienced Test Prep Tutor (In-person) in the NYC area to help our students achieve!

Requirements
  • Test Prep

    Experience:

    Applicants must have experience in helping students prepare for all sections of the SAT/ACT
    • Bonus points for experience with SHSAT, ISEE/SSAT, HSPT/TACHS, or other relevant standardized entrance exams
  • Location: Applicants must be available to travel to students for in-person instruction within NYC, but primarily in Manhattan.

Additional Qualities You Bring to the Table

We're searching high and low for a reliable, organized, and experienced Test Prep Expert who is passionate and approachable. Our ideal candidate is:

  • Dynamic and Engaging:
    You should be able to hold your own in front of students and deliver content in a dynamic and engaging manner.
  • Experienced and has a Bachelor's Degree:
    We make a promise to our families that our instructors are truly experts in their respective fields, so we ask that you have a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, as well as five years of postgraduate teaching experience.
Bonus Points If...
  • You have experience helping students with their academic studies as well!
    • Subjects include, but are not limited to:
      • Math:
        Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC
      • ELA:
        Common Core State Exams, general reading comprehension, essay writing, AP Language, AP Literature
      • Science: AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics
