The Tutorverse is hiring an EXPERIENCED TEST PREP TUTOR (IN-PERSON) in the NYC area to help our students achieve!
REQUIREMENTS- TEST PREP
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have experience in helping students prepare for ISEE/SSAT, SHSAT, ACT/SAT, HSPT/TACHS, or other relevant standardized entrance exams. - LOCATION:
Applicants must be available to travel to students for in‑person instruction within NYC, but primarily in Manhattan. - VACCINATION:
Applicants must be fully vaccinated.
- FLEXIBLE
SCHEDULE:
Work as many hours as you want! - STARTING HOURLY RATE OF $90-100:
We appreciate the experience that you bring to the role, and we compensate you as such! - NO MICRO MANAGEMENT:
You're experienced and knowledgeable, so teach your content, your way! - HELP WITH THE BORING STUFF:
We find the clients, help with scheduling, and enforce our cancellation policy all so you can focus on what you love to do - teach.
We're searching high and low for a reliable, organized, and experienced Test Prep Expert who is passionate and approachable. Our ideal candidate is:
- Dynamic and Engaging:
You should be able to hold your own in front of students and deliver content in a dynamic and engaging manner. - Experienced and has a Bachelor's Degree:
We make a promise to our families that our instructors are truly experts in their respective fields, so we ask that you have a bachelor's degree from a 4‑year college or university, as well as five years of postgraduate teaching experience.
- You have experience helping students with their academic studies as well!
- Subjects include, but are not limited to:
- Math:
Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre‑Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC - ELA:
Common Core State Exams, general reading comprehension, essay writing, AP Language, AP Literature - Science: AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics
